A figure with a standard advances against the darkness — and the medieval engraving before you is already an act of courage
Eclectic Boho Original Artwork | Black and white reproduction of an allegorical engraving on courage | Distressed amber flaking wood frame | 23×18 cm | Unique piece | Conceived in Milan | Cape Best Collection
There comes a time when the past is not contemplated — it is confronted. A female figure advances with her standard, her chest exposed, her gaze towards the darkness. Around her, sea monsters, a running soldier, a distant stone castle, and stars in the sky: a world worth defending.
The reproduction of this allegorical medieval engraving — rich in detail, spare in color — lives within a distressed wooden frame from Cape Town, flaking and authentic amber, which does not contain it: it protects it. Like an ancient guardian around a secret waiting to be found.
Artwork conceived in Milan, unique and non-replicable. For a wall or on a desk.
