The work

The Frame
The frame is made of reclaimed antique wood from Cape Town.
The natural honey-colored wood features prominent grain and a worn surface, interrupted by extensive traces of faded white paint. The deliberately irregular and textured white inner insert creates a frame within the frame and guides the eye towards the photograph.
A composition with an authentically Mid Century character, where natural wood, imperfections, and vintage photography coexist without appearing contrived.
