Architectural photography in a mosaic frame, reclaimed wood from Cape Town
The "Mosaic" frame assembles reclaimed woods like colored tiles — deep red, matte black, aged white, cement gray — each with its own history and authentic cracks. It does not correct the image: it comments on it, bringing the complexity of an aged urban wall to the wall. The aged white matting neutralizes the external vibrancy and prepares the eye to enter the artwork. The 29 × 35 cm format amplifies the sense of power of the photographed modernist building. The urban poetry of the subject captures a grid facade that visually dialogues with the tiled structure of the frame, while 1990s cars introduce the temporal dimension: the everyday coexists with the aspirational. It is neither denunciation nor celebration — it is a conscious observation of modernity, where concrete acquires monumental dignity. A silent manifesto on faith in progress and on how time transforms the meaning of things without erasing their beauty.
