The reclaimed wood frame tells a story all on its own: the white paint peels away in large, irregular patches, revealing the warm brown natural wood beneath — every fragment is unique, unrepeatable. An antique white wooden matting introduces the image with restraint and grace. The subject is a great river flowing quietly until it disappears into a bend: the low-angled sunlight transforms the water into something dense, almost textile-like. In the background, minimalist rocky hills, devoid of trees. The Wabi-Sabi palette lives in the warm earth tones, the liquid gold of the reflection, and the austere grey-green of the hills. A work of rare, authentic tranquility.

Measuring 34×43 cm, this is a wall-mounted work: the vertical format and the presence of the frame require space and visual distance to be fully appreciated. It is not an object to be placed on a surface, but a focal point, an invitation to pause and contemplate.

Ideal placement

• Bedroom — the most natural setting. The river subject and warm palette create an atmosphere of profound tranquility. Above the headboard or on a side wall, this work accompanies waking and falling asleep with the same grace.

• Living room / Lounge — on a main wall, above a sofa or low console. The vertical format balances well in rooms with high ceilings; in smaller spaces, it serves as a visual window into a distant landscape.

• Bathroom — if the room is well-ventilated and away from direct steam sources, the aquatic theme makes this work extraordinarily harmonious. In a bathroom with natural finishes (stone, wood, concrete), the effect is striking.

• Meditation / Yoga space — ideal. The horizontal composition of the river, the silence of the image, and the warm tones of the frame create exactly the right atmosphere for practice and reflection.

• Hallway — if the hallway has a sufficiently wide free wall, this work transforms a passageway into a moment of pause.

• Kitchen / Children's bedroom — to be avoided: the kitchen due to humidity and steam; the children's bedroom because the contemplative mood is clearly intended for adults.
