In the vineyard
In 2021, a rainy winter and good water reserves favored a later-than-usual growing season, characterized by cool weather in Stellenbosch. Despite some spring rains, careful management prevented fungal diseases. Abundant flowering and slow ripening thanks to cool December and January resulted in small, concentrated, and flavorful bunches.

The grapes, harvested at perfect ripeness, were delicately destemmed and fermented with a 7-10 day maceration on the skins. After a gentle pressing, the wine was aged primarily in French oak stave tanks, with a small portion in used barriques for 10-12 months before blending and bottling.
