The Pinotage is a vine originating from South Africa, born in 1925 from a singular cross between Pinot Noir and Hermitage (or Cinsaut). The father of Pinotage was Abraham Izak Perold, a university professor and winemaker who sought the best resistance to the dry summers of the Western Cape region in South Africa.
In the glass, the color of Kadette Cape Blend is ruby red. The nose has an intense perfume of Red currant, cherries, spices and a touch of mugto. On the palate the wine is fresh and lively, perfectly integrated with the wood, and has a pleasant and persistent raspberry flavor.
Pairings at the table: Excellent as a summer wine to accompany seafood, or served with pizza, dishes of pasta, roasts, chicken e grilled meat.
