The South African Simonsig winery is located on the slopes of the Simonsberg, hence its name. Founded in 1688 by the Frenchman Jacques Malan, the winery has always stood out for the incomparable experience and winemaking tradition of the family; the result is represented over the years by excellent wines, highly awarded and often innovative.

When we talk about Simonsig we also indirectly talk about the history of the Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) - the classic South African method: Simonsig was in fact the first winery ever to produce it in South Africa in 1971.
